About Jim Graham

Jim Graham is a commercial and editorial photographer based in  

Centreville, Delaware. Jim began his photography career while still  

in high school.  He left Washington College with a degree in History  

and hours spent in the schools darkroom.  He began serious study in  

photography at The Maine Photographic Workshop in 1982.  And when he  

returned to Wilmington and began working as a freelance photographer  

for the News Journal Papers.  In 1985 The News Journal hired Jim as a  

Staff photographer.

While there he earned honors from the Pennsylvania Press Photography  

Association, Gannett, and was twice nominated for the Pulitzer Prize. He was  

also named Southern Photographer of the year in 1990.  He left the  

News Journal in 1994 and has worked for Bloomberg News, The  

Associated Press, USA Today and The Washington Post.  While he  

continues his work in editorial photography he has expanded his scope  

to include commercial clients and international wedding commissions.
